El nuevo C贸digo Penal de la Rep煤blica Dominicana, que entrar谩 en vigencia el pr贸ximo a帽o, incluye medidas para sancionar el robo de alimentos y medicamentos con trabajo comunitario no remunerado. Esta ley, conocida como "robo fam茅lico", busca castigar la sustracci贸n de productos de primera necesidad sin emplear violencia f铆sica y con el fin de satisfacer necesidades b谩sicas del imputado o sus familiares.
Adem谩s de esta nueva tipificaci贸n, el C贸digo Penal tambi茅n aborda delitos como el ciberbullying, la publicaci贸n no autorizada de contenido 铆ntimo, el ultraje a funcionarios p煤blicos, entre otros.
