HOMBRE ENCARCELADO POR SECUESTRO INTERNACIONAL
La Oficina de Atención Permanente del Distrito Nacional impuso tres meses de prisión preventiva contra Miguel Antonio Torres Hernández, también conocido como Kevin León Wooden y/o Shaban Kuka, acusado del secuestro de una menor de edad que retuvo ilegalmente en México y trajo al país con una falsa identidad. La jueza Fatima Veloz dispuso que cumpla la medida en el Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación Najayo Hombres (CCR-17), en San Cristóbal. Torres Hernández fue capturado con el apoyo de la Organización Internacional de la Policía Criminal, tras activarse una Alerta Amber para la localización y rescate de la menor. En el caso figura como coimputada Viviana Villarreal Cambero, quien participó en el entramado ilegal para la retención y suplantación de identidad de la menor.
La víctima, ahora de 4 años de edad, fue separada violentamente en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, de su madre biológica (de nacionalidad colombiana), cuando tenía 11 meses. Desde el 23 de julio de 2025, autoridades dominicanas investigan a Torres Hernández y Villarreal Cambero por violación a leyes de protección infantil, tráfico ilícito y suplantación de identidad. Tras años de búsqueda, la niña fue rescatada en Santo Domingo, confirmando su verdadera identidad y la participación de Villarreal Cambero en el caso.

The Office of Permanent Attention of the National District imposed three months of preventive detention on Miguel Antonio Torres Hernandez, also known as Kevin León Wooden and/or Shaban Kuka, accused of kidnapping a minor in Mexico and bringing her to the Dominican Republic with a false identity. Judge Fatima Veloz ordered him to serve the preventive measure in the Najayo Men’s Correctional and Rehabilitation Center (CCR-17), in San Cristóbal. Torres Hernandez was captured with the support of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), after an Amber Alert was activated for the location and rescue of the minor. Viviana Villarreal Cambero, who actively participated in the illegal scheme for the retention and identity theft of the minor, is also involved in the case.
The victim, now 4 years old, was violently separated in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, from her biological mother (of Colombian nationality), when she was 11 months old. Since July 23, 2025, Dominican authorities have been investigating Torres Hernandez and Villarreal Cambero for violation of laws protecting children, human trafficking, and identity theft. After years of search, the girl was rescued in Santo Domingo, confirming her true identity and Villarreal Cambero’s involvement in the case.
